Born in 1956 in Cooroy, QLD, Australia, Jay has always shared a deep connection with the Australian landscape—both the wild oceans and seas that hug its coastlines and the rugged bushlands inland. Captivated by its vastness, quirks, and the unique flora and fauna that define it, Jay draws inspiration from this extraordinary environment.

With a background in hand-painted restoration and graphic design, Jay’s skills naturally evolved into a passion for painting. Entirely self-taught, Jay channels a vivid imagination through bold lines and dynamic use of colour. The signature outlines in Jay’s work reflect a belief that all things—even those we consider inanimate—are alive and radiate energy.
